Dutch Postcode Lottery

Created as Novamedia's first charity lottery in 1989, the Dutch Postcode Lottery has become the Netherlands' largest charity lottery, supporting 64 organisations in the fields of nature and the environment, development cooperation, human rights and social cohesion.

Since its launch in 1989, the lottery has paid out more than 2.5 billion euros to its beneficiaries.

External auditing

Lottery licences in the Netherlands are granted by the Minister of Justice. The Ministry of Justice and the Dutch Gaming Control Board supervise the national gaming licences and compliance with the Act on Games of Chance.
