In 1998 Novamedia became the operator of another Dutch charity lottery, the Sponsor Bingo Lottery. This lottery supports charities that work to promote health and wellbeing. The members of the lottery can also support clubs and associations of their choice. The Sponsor Bingo Lottery and its members
The almost 630,000 members of the Sponsor Bingo Lottery purchased 980,000 lottery tickets in 2007 raising more than 80 million euros. The lottery then donated more than 40 million euros to thirty-two charities and more than 2,200 organisations. 14.3 million of this 40 million was specially dedicated to good causes, clubs and association chosen by the members.
40 million euros donated to health and wellbeing
The Sponsor Bingo Loterij supports 31 organisations in the fields of health and well-being, including Hersenstichting Nederland (the Netherlands Brain Foundation), Nierstichting (the Netherlands Kidney Foundation), KWF Kankerbestrijding (the Dutch Cancer Society), Astma Fonds (the Netherlands Asthma Foundation) and the Diabetes Fonds (the Dutch Diabetes Research Foundation). Social Partner of the Premier League
As a Social Partner of the Eredivisie (DutchPremier League) the Sponsor Bingo Lottery works to highlight the importance of the social aspect of sport in general and football in particular.
