Since the start of the Dutch Postcode Lottery in 1989, Novamedia's charity lotteries donated 4 billion euro to more than 240 charities for people, nature, culture and health & welfare.

In 2009, People’s Postcode Lottery created and launched People’s Postcode Trust, a grant giving body who provides financial support for small organisations, bodies and community groups across the country. The trust has funded 501 projects to date. The Trust has awarded over £2.5million to fantastic community projects all over the UK.

Supporting local charities and raising awareness of these good causes is still the focus of People’s Postcode Lottery. All money raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery in Scotland, England and Wales stays in the country within which it was raised, benefitting local charities. With 40p from every ticket sold going to good causes, over £13 million has been raised for charities to date.
Charity partners in Scotland include CHILDREN 1ST, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre, Missing People (in Scotland), National Galleries of Scotland, Scottish Wildlife Trust, Woodland Trust, WWF Scotland and People’s Postcode Trust.
In England and Wales, People’s Postcode Lottery has charity partnerships with Children North East, Daisy Chain, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, Missing People, Northumberland Wildlife Trust, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust and People’s Postcode Trust.
