Amsterdam, September 4, 2010, Vroomshoop in the Netherlands is the first village to share the ‘European Postcode Millions’. Players in Vroomshoop of the Dutch Postcode Lottery, whose postcode starts with 7681 share an amount of 11,1 million Euros.
The special ‘European Postcode Millions’ prize combines the power of charity lotteries across waters, seeing the British People’s Postcode Lottery and it’s Dutch counterpart join up.
The total prize of 12,3 million Euros consists of two parts. 11,1 million Euros is to be shared in the winning country: the Netherlands. In the UK a prize of 1,2 million Euros will be shared in Scarborough and is to be shared between winners living in the YO125 postcode area.
The first prize of 11,1 million Euros is won by postcode 7681 XK, who will share 555.696 Euros. The remaining part of 10.558.223 Euros is to be shared by all tickets sold in postcode area 7681.
