Thurso is set for April showers of an entirely different kind next weekend, as it was revealed today the town will be basking in prizes to the tune of £2.1 million, thanks to a huge win with People’s Postcode Lottery.

The charity lottery’s Spring Postcode Rollover will see lucky players living in the KW14 7?? postcode share the eye-popping prize pot, with residents discovering their share at an outdoor event to be held on Sunday 18th April.

All players living in the KW14 7 postcode will win a share of the £2.1 million prize, with those living in the full postcode- to be revealed on the day- receiving the greatest share.

The celebratory party will see presenter Angus Purden take to the stage to award winners with their cheques. The festivities will be kick-started with an exclusive live set from a secret television and singing sensation, with revellers being treated to complimentary gourmet burgers and hot drinks.
