Who we are

Mailings, TV & internet

Television plays an important role in involving members in the work of the organisations supported by the lottery.

The programmes are broadcast for entertainment purposes, include plenty of information on the lottery’s beneficiaries and play an important role in the contact with the lottery participants.

Lottery ticket sales are growing through the website and special offer sites. Visitors to the website can also play free games online and can check the draw results. They can take part in competitions to win tickets to concerts and events organised by the charities. Thanks to the growing number of visitors, the Internet has become an important tool for the Postcode Lotteries.

The Dutch Postcode Lottery communicates with its members regularly through letters and mailings. The lottery sends letters to both members and non-members to inform them about how to buy tickets and play with the lottery. The letters also include information on the lottery’s charities.

Prizes

Not only the charities win. Each year, more than 10,000 participants are treated to a host of prizes, ranging from full VIP treatment at a resort to big cash prizes.

The weekly PostcodeStreetprize, in which a whole street stands to win a spectacular cash award, is popular and well known throughout the Netherlands. There’s even a Green Postcode Prize, in which we award money to a whole neighbourhood.

Information about the charities' work

As part of their mission, the Postcode Lotteries also provide members with information about the charities they support.

This takes the form of project examples on the websites with clickable links to the charities’ websites. For years now, the Postcode Lotteries have published magazines and newsletters that members receive regularly. These contain news about the prizes, the charities and special offers for members. The TV game shows feature information about the lottery’s charities, and separate documentaries are also made. Back...
