Boudewijn Poelmann, who holds BA’s in Marketing and Political Sciences is co founder and CEO of Novamedia B.V. since 1983. Before establishing Novamedia he worked with DAF and Oxfam Novib. (Dutch organisation for international development aid). Boudewijn Poelmann (1949) is a Dutch entrepreneur who favours doing business with a cause. A cause more than earning money or creating value only. For this reason he (co)founded the Nationale Postcode Loterij in the Netherlands in 1989. Mr. Poelmann is also one of the founders of Independent Media, which became the second largest publishing house in the Russian Federation. He was a big shareholder and chairman of the board of directors until 2004 when Independent Media was sold to Sanoma Publishing. Ruud Esser was appointed as CFO of Novamedia BV in 2006, when he also began serving as CFO and Executive Board Member of the parent company of the Dutch National Postcode Lottery, the BankGiro Lottery and the Sponsor Bingo Lottery (Holding Nationale Goede Doelen Loterijen NV). Ruud Esser is an experienced Financial Officer who began his professional career working for audit firms. In 1988 he set up his own financial and administrative services company and in 1989 started providing financial management services for the Dutch Nationale Postcode Loterij from the outset.
In addition to acting as a Financial Officer for the Dutch lotteries, from 1993 to 2005 he also served as CFO and Board Member of Independent Media, one of the largest publishing houses in the Russian Federation.
